Kennebecasis Valley Fire Department

The KVFD is a composite Career-volunteer department with a Chief, Deputy Chief, 25 Career Firefighters, 5 Part time firefighters and 30 volunteer firefighters operating from 2 firehouses in the Kennebecasis Valley.  Formerly the Rothesay Regional Fire Department, the change was made in 2006, as a result of an agreement between the towns of Quispamsis and Rothesay.   In 2009, the department will take delivery of a Quint Ladder truck built by Sutphen Fire Apparatus.  This will be the first Aerial device for the KVFD.
